  1. You can make a PVC antenna with a kit fairly inexpensive and really boost your signal. With the little antenna that comes with the Ramsey I could broadcast about a block from my house. When I hook up the PVC one that I placed on the roof the signal is good for almost a mile. For the life of me I can't remember where I bought the kit. Ebay maybe?
  2. You could give it a try and see how it turns out. Curious, why don't you like LEDs?
  3. Nice!
  4. My "firesticks" are the alternating red and vertical trees in the photo. I started to cut the two pine trees down because they were shading the lawn too much and stopped at the end of summer a couple of years ago. When I started putting up lights I decided to buy another LOR controller and made the poles into sticks. The trees are ugly as heck in the summer but they are another tree where I can put lights for Christmas, and, well who doesn't like more lights?
  5. Looks like you got it down. Looks nice.
  6. Whoa, that had to make you want to stay in bed the rest of the day.
  7. Nice display. I've always wanted to do a July display but it stays light until almost 10:00 PM where I live.
  8. Looks GREAT! Well done. Now you have until November to light it up.
  9. Whoa, that is one very serious Nativity! Awesome.
  10. I would love the nativity pieces.
  11. I have had LOR controllers for several years now and I love them. Simple software for composing or editing and easy set-up. But beware, your extension cord inventory will need to grow like crazy.
  12. For two controllers I would stay with the basic. The license will expire and if you decide to add more controller you can upgrade. For the Mega tree you will need at LEAST 16 channels to make it work. I use 16 on my small one and 32 on my large one and if I had more ambition I would double both of them.
  13. Fair price? You got a steal!
  14. Ah, I was just in Louisville. How much are you asking? I have another trip planned in two weeks.
  15. Well done, very clever!
