  1. There is a learning curve, but it isn't as hard as you might think.Crawl before you walk, get a 16-32 channel setup and start playing with it. You can demo the software by downloading you just won't be able to output to the controllers. Start small then increase as your needs and knowledge of the process increase. Don't attempt pixels your first year, pixels are a different creature with too many variables for just starting out. The LOR website and Youtube have lots of videos that answer lots of questions along with the forums. If the programming gets a little tough, then you can find free sequences or pay to have the sequences programmed for you. Have fun and enjoy the process! SPaschall

  4. Holiday Technologies is now offering private, one-on-one, remote training to anyone who is interested in learning more about how to use software to control their holiday-based display. The cost is $35/hour and the topic or topics covered during the sessions are up to you! You are welcome to ask as many questions you'd like and are welcome to interrupt the presenter at any time. There's no such thing as a dumb question! We want to make sure you get exactly what you want out of these sessions and walk away satisfied. Contact Holiday Technologies via e-mail (sales@holidaytechnologies.com) or phone (913.626.6226) and let us know what topics you would like to cover and what dates/times you would be available for training. We will estimate the number of hours needed for a given topic, assign someone to you for training, and let you know what date/time has been selected for your appointment. We will ask for a down payment of $20 before the training takes place in order to reserve your time slot. The balance will be due after your training session has been completed and will be billed in 15 minute increments. Sessions cannot be over two hours in length but they can be shorter with a 30 minute session as the minimum length. If you need to cancel or move the appointment we will work with you to reschedule or issue a refund. We ask you let us know of the need to cancel or move an appointment at least 48 hours in advance. We prefer to remotely control your computer; it is to your advantage to have the software covered in the training pre-installed and ready to use. However, if you would prefer to watch the training using software installed on our computer we can do that as well. Contact us today for more information or to sign-up for a session or two or three, SPaschall

  10. Less than 100 dollars to covert compared to 180-225 for a new controller. Plus they will run dmx so they could stay in your display for a long time. SPaschall Sent from my SCH-S968C using Tapatalk
  11. Amazing work as always John! SPaschall Sent from my SCH-S968C using Tapatalk
  12. Light O Rama is a great place to start, you can have your AL controllers converted to LOR for a fraction of what a new controller costs from Holiday Technologies http://www.holidaytechnologies.com/catalog/index.php?id_product=70&controller=product I had Seventeen controllers converted back in 2011 and have never looked back with no issues. 13. This is an age old question as TFisher said is the absolute norm. Regular viewers don't relate to channel numbers or how many controllers as we in the hobby do. If your display brings you joy and to your viewers then that is all that matters. I have watched many videos and I have been more impressed with 64 channel sequences than dramatic over the top displays that just seem to turn things on because they can. 14. If you have AL controllers or hardware you would like to sell, contact Drew Hickman at http://www.holidaytechnologies.com and he might be able to help in selling your hardware. SPaschall
