I owned a ceramic shop from 1982 - 1995. That mold was introduced in the early 90's. (I don't remember off the top of my head which company made the molds). We purchased that set of molds and poured them for a couple of years. The set of molds included all the pieces in the Empire set; the Holy family, the 3 kings, the shepherd, two sheep and the cow and donkey. The pieces were the same size as the Empire set. The mold company that made the mold had taken the original plastic pieces and enhanced the detail in the molds, so the cast ceramic pieces had more detail than the original blow molded pieces.
