Did you know?
  • The first recorded date of Christmas being celebrated on December 25th was in 336, during the time of the Roman Emperor Constantine. A few years later, Pope Julius I officially declared that the birth of Jesus would be celebrated on that day.
  • Santa Claus's sleigh is led by eight reindeer: Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Dunder (variously spelled Donder and Donner), and Blixem (variously spelled Blixen and Blitzen), with Rudolph being a 20th-century inclusion.
  • Outdoor Christmas lights on homes evolved from decorating the traditional Christmas tree and house with candles during the Christmas season. Lighting the tree with small candles dates back to the 17th century and originated in Germany before spreading to Eastern Europe.
  • That big, jolly man in the red suit with a white beard didn’t always look that way. Prior to 1931, Santa was depicted as everything from a tall gaunt man to a spooky-looking elf. He has donned a bishop's robe and a Norse huntsman's animal skin. When Civil War cartoonist Thomas Nast drew Santa Claus for Harper's Weekly in 1862, Santa was a small elflike figure who supported the Union. Nast continued to draw Santa for 30 years, changing the color of his coat from tan to the red he’s known for today.
  • Christmas 2018 countdown has already begun. Will you be ready???
  • Why do we love Christmas? It's all about the traditions. In this chaotic world we can miss the "good old days." Christmas reminds us of that time.

    2017 Display- video

I thought I would see how a video might look online- here it is! I wanna get around to some music played from some Bluetooth rocks or something similar.
  2. I have a inflatable that was ripped with the wind. The cold front came in before expected and by the time I got home it was ripped. It has a rip on the side about 12 inches or so. What is the best way to fix it? I have gorilla tarp repair tape. Will the work? Is their something better? Is their something to add along with the tape? All help would be appreciated
  3. I need a replacement blower wheel (round plastic piece about the size of the palm of your hand) for Christmas inflatable. Description below: 10'-12' inflatable reindeer (4-ish years old) Bought in Illinois (Menards, Home Depot, Lowes, or "At Home") Fan is of Chinese origin (Tried contacting the Chinese company but received no response): st-motor.com model: SBH1084S3A Class B 120vac / 60Hz / 0.54A Thermally protected F Blower wheel dimensions: 4 1/4" Wide x 1 1/8" Tall I REALLY don't want to throw this away. Im at the end of my search though. Does anyone have any ideas on where I can find a replacement blower wheel or motor? Th inflatable does have a light string attached to it also. The light string looks like a simple plastic connector. Is the .54A just for the light string? Should I just buy a replacement motor? If so which one? Thanks tried to upload the pictures with no luck. Thank you all for your help!

  5. This weekend at Garden Ridge I saw a 20' Inflatable Snowman, he was awesome. In my mind cme the quote from Wayne's World, "You will be mine, oh yes, you will be mine." My wife's quote came louder and clearer as I stood at the base gazing heavenward at the bohemouth of Christmas decor, "You have absolutely no where to put this." Lucky for me I developed a serious and very painful neck injury. So much so that my wife softened up and suggested that we buy the 20' Christmas yard monument to lift my spirits, which it did. I love my wife. Purchased 20' Inflatable Snowman from Garden Ridge. He is HUGE! Of course we had to blow him up in the driveway just to make sure he is in good shape. It took a while to blow him up since it was 2 minutes before we noticed the hose was twisted shut and then even longer to realize the blower wasn't positioned right.
