Did you know?
  • The first recorded date of Christmas being celebrated on December 25th was in 336, during the time of the Roman Emperor Constantine. A few years later, Pope Julius I officially declared that the birth of Jesus would be celebrated on that day.
  • Santa Claus's sleigh is led by eight reindeer: Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Dunder (variously spelled Donder and Donner), and Blixem (variously spelled Blixen and Blitzen), with Rudolph being a 20th-century inclusion.
  • Outdoor Christmas lights on homes evolved from decorating the traditional Christmas tree and house with candles during the Christmas season. Lighting the tree with small candles dates back to the 17th century and originated in Germany before spreading to Eastern Europe.
  • That big, jolly man in the red suit with a white beard didn’t always look that way. Prior to 1931, Santa was depicted as everything from a tall gaunt man to a spooky-looking elf. He has donned a bishop's robe and a Norse huntsman's animal skin. When Civil War cartoonist Thomas Nast drew Santa Claus for Harper's Weekly in 1862, Santa was a small elflike figure who supported the Union. Nast continued to draw Santa for 30 years, changing the color of his coat from tan to the red he’s known for today.
  • Christmas 2018 countdown has already begun. Will you be ready???
  • Why do we love Christmas? It's all about the traditions. In this chaotic world we can miss the "good old days." Christmas reminds us of that time.

    Back after 7 years.

Light-O-Rama software is not available for Macs, I don't use Mac as I don't like the interface and I don't really like apple as a company and this is why.

There isn't much activity most of the year, even when it picks up in November/December it still isn't much.

    Smart light sequencing theory

I learned from John Storms (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mf9O-KiysA0) and used that to start programming. I don't use all the things that he uses, but the general idea of breaking apart a song is something that I couldn't sequence without.

    Need spiral tree sequences

Make a simple chase sequence that repeats, that should do well for testing

How to maximize 16 LOR Channels

One way to maximize channels is to mirror them, say 6 minitrees, 2 bushes, and an 8 channel firestick on both sides (both firesticks using identical channels). That example is what I did my first year: https://youtu.be/Cfi3zKP-Ek0

    Display Dark! Please help!

UPDATE: After 2 replaced fuses, much troubleshooting, and a thorough inspection; It now works. Cause ended up being a flood light that broke while in a fixture, shorting it out.

    Display Dark! Please help!

Came home at 6:00 pm only to discover that the right-hand fuse in one of my two CTBPC16g3's had blown. This happened to be the critical part of our display, as it runs the Tune-To sign and charity box. Any suggestions to find the problem would be greatly appreciated.

As for your mega-tree idea, I would do 1 with 16 sections, and the other mirrored to the first. This is what I do with my 2 eight-channel firesticks and they look great.
