Did you know?
  • Christmas 2018 countdown has already begun. Will you be ready???
  • Why do we love Christmas? It's all about the traditions. In this chaotic world we can miss the "good old days." Christmas reminds us of that time.
  • The first recorded date of Christmas being celebrated on December 25th was in 336, during the time of the Roman Emperor Constantine. A few years later, Pope Julius I officially declared that the birth of Jesus would be celebrated on that day.
  • Santa Claus's sleigh is led by eight reindeer: Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Dunder (variously spelled Donder and Donner), and Blixem (variously spelled Blixen and Blitzen), with Rudolph being a 20th-century inclusion.
  • Outdoor Christmas lights on homes evolved from decorating the traditional Christmas tree and house with candles during the Christmas season. Lighting the tree with small candles dates back to the 17th century and originated in Germany before spreading to Eastern Europe.
  • That big, jolly man in the red suit with a white beard didn’t always look that way. Prior to 1931, Santa was depicted as everything from a tall gaunt man to a spooky-looking elf. He has donned a bishop's robe and a Norse huntsman's animal skin. When Civil War cartoonist Thomas Nast drew Santa Claus for Harper's Weekly in 1862, Santa was a small elflike figure who supported the Union. Nast continued to draw Santa for 30 years, changing the color of his coat from tan to the red he’s known for today.

  1. Replacement reindeer light clips

I have these old wireframe reindeer that need new lights and so I will need a bunch of the new clips that hold them to the frame. Does anyone know a good place to buy them? Below these are the reindeer I am talking about.
  2. Plywood Santa

Nice Score! I would take a few good pictures and then paint the Santa white and then you could project the former image onto the plywood and trace the lines where the colors change.
  3. What color lighting do you prefer?

Classic ole Red/White/Green for LOR. The colors on the other half of my static display are random depending on the land theme.
  4. Wire frame deer lights out

How many strings of 50 bulbs did you use on each deer?
  5. Wanting a projector

Ya I saw those but the lums didn’t seem very bright and I want something that will start running when it is turned on.
  6. Wanting a projector

Does anyone have a window projector that automatically starts playing the video loop when it is turned on? I want to do this for my display sometime and it might be a good Christmas present for my list...
  7. Wire frame deer lights out

I have a bunch of wire frame deer too and the lights still work with the occasional fail and fix with the light keeper. I am planning to replace them with LED in the future because they use so much power! I however want to do it on a budget and wondered about the Walmart lights. Do you have any pictures of your deer?
  8. 3 car driveway arches

Hey BJ, I am doing arches for my aunt and uncle this year and their driveway is three cars wide like yours. How many 10' pvc pipe lengths did it take you to get across the driveway?

  10. Spt Wire And Plugs *help*

Just curious, but is there a limit to how many inline plugs you can put on one string? I want to connect a long string of my bushes to use for LOR. They are all LED so I am not worried about overloading the amperage. Ryan
  11. Requiring Blowmolds

I'd stop and tell her that the decorations would be going to a good home where many people will enjoy seeing them.
  12. 2/3 hobo clowns

Nice score! Just also found the same hobo clown you have on the left along with six other blow molds today. I already can't wait for next season!
  13. blow mold repaint rookie

Have you bought any Krylon spray paint recently, because my Walmarts have quite carrying them and instead replaced them with that universal spray paint that does not have a good selection of color choices?
