Did you know?
  • The first recorded date of Christmas being celebrated on December 25th was in 336, during the time of the Roman Emperor Constantine. A few years later, Pope Julius I officially declared that the birth of Jesus would be celebrated on that day.
  • Santa Claus's sleigh is led by eight reindeer: Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Dunder (variously spelled Donder and Donner), and Blixem (variously spelled Blixen and Blitzen), with Rudolph being a 20th-century inclusion.
  • Outdoor Christmas lights on homes evolved from decorating the traditional Christmas tree and house with candles during the Christmas season. Lighting the tree with small candles dates back to the 17th century and originated in Germany before spreading to Eastern Europe.
  • That big, jolly man in the red suit with a white beard didn’t always look that way. Prior to 1931, Santa was depicted as everything from a tall gaunt man to a spooky-looking elf. He has donned a bishop's robe and a Norse huntsman's animal skin. When Civil War cartoonist Thomas Nast drew Santa Claus for Harper's Weekly in 1862, Santa was a small elflike figure who supported the Union. Nast continued to draw Santa for 30 years, changing the color of his coat from tan to the red he’s known for today.
  • Christmas 2018 countdown has already begun. Will you be ready???
  • Why do we love Christmas? It's all about the traditions. In this chaotic world we can miss the "good old days." Christmas reminds us of that time.

I just bought 2 panels in the last month or so. I looked everywhere to find sequences. I took a ton of ones that were made for 100+ and edited them to fit a 32 chan set-up. There are also a few that were made for 16 that I just doubled up on. All songs match up with youtube videos, when you are looking for music. There are few in here that I created from scratch. I warn you, some need some love, because I had issues finding the audio that was used. It's why I chose to use things you find on youtube to create mine. Just use any of those sites to change youtube to mp3.

To try and understand my set-up. I have 16 different items (trees, columns, bushes) wrapped with 2 separate colors of lights. I create the sequences to fit that scenario.

I don't see the rules of this forum as far as posting up external links. I have everything, including what I am working on in a google drive shared out. Would be easier to just post that up.

I'm working on 4 new ones right now, that I will upload later

Only at Christmastime - Sufjan Stevens

Colder Weather - Zack Brown

The Way you move - OutKast

Spacedrum - Yuki Koshi

I hope this picks up. I'd love to be able to have enough songs that I don't have to listen to the same songs over and over.

You only need the .lms file. The other files are created as you edit. One is a sort of lock file, the other is so that if you choose not to save the file, it goes back to that state. The software is horrible about managing these files. (if you want to edit your example)

The Way you move - OutKast

Was close to being done when I posted up the last group. Again, audio from Youtube.

OutKast - The Way You Move.lms

Real Basic set-up. One pattern, then another. Liked the song, but didn't think that simple songs, have simple set-ups.

Only at Christmastime - Sufjan Stevens.lms

It would be awesome to standardize titles, because Carol of the Bells is done a million times so some format like     "SongTitle_Artist"  ie   "Carol of the Bells_Manheim Steamroller" would be really helpful because half of these don't have artists listed so are not useful. I like that CanePole put in a bunch more details than most which is awesome!

Future Standard:

P.S. How do I edit the first post so I can redo that to match the new standard?

Not Christmas, but it was fun to make

Spacedrum - Yuki Koshimoto

I agree with the comment above..... but in a few of my cases, I found a .lms and they were the same issue. I took a lms, opened it, and went to youtube looking for audio that was roughly the same length. Most of the time I was able to fix with a little cut\paste magic.
