Did you know?
  • The first recorded date of Christmas being celebrated on December 25th was in 336, during the time of the Roman Emperor Constantine. A few years later, Pope Julius I officially declared that the birth of Jesus would be celebrated on that day.
  • Santa Claus's sleigh is led by eight reindeer: Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Dunder (variously spelled Donder and Donner), and Blixem (variously spelled Blixen and Blitzen), with Rudolph being a 20th-century inclusion.
  • Outdoor Christmas lights on homes evolved from decorating the traditional Christmas tree and house with candles during the Christmas season. Lighting the tree with small candles dates back to the 17th century and originated in Germany before spreading to Eastern Europe.
  • That big, jolly man in the red suit with a white beard didn’t always look that way. Prior to 1931, Santa was depicted as everything from a tall gaunt man to a spooky-looking elf. He has donned a bishop's robe and a Norse huntsman's animal skin. When Civil War cartoonist Thomas Nast drew Santa Claus for Harper's Weekly in 1862, Santa was a small elflike figure who supported the Union. Nast continued to draw Santa for 30 years, changing the color of his coat from tan to the red he’s known for today.
  • Christmas 2018 countdown has already begun. Will you be ready???
  • Why do we love Christmas? It's all about the traditions. In this chaotic world we can miss the "good old days." Christmas reminds us of that time.

Was looking in the vendor section for C-9 leds and came acrossed this company and was wondering if anyone had used them good or bad. Or is there a better place to get C-9 leds? They ran $30 for a box of 25 bright white screw in bulbs. Thanks for any help.

I've bought from them before. Not lights but globes for my North Poles. They aren't the cheapest place around but they aren't bad and they are very prompt to ship and good to deal with.

1000Bulbs is located here in Texas and is not only a great vendor but very supportive of local groups. Kim (the owner) is a good guy too... they'll take good care of you.

I just ordered some C9 LED retro bulbs and stringer wire and some miscellaneous items from them as a "fall-back" to some shipping problems with another vendor. I actually placed the order over the phone with Zach and was very impressed with his knowledge of their product line. Order fullfillment was impressive and I had the stuff in hand in less than a week. Just be aware that their C9 LED bulbs are not dimmable so if you are using them with a controller, you will have to adjust your sequences accordingly. I would be very surprised that by next year they haven't found a source for dimable C9 and C7 bulbs. I def would order from them again.

I've used them a few times. I had a bad lot of strings once and they sent me some to replace them. Good service! Howeveer their pricing, even when on sale, could be better.

I have 1000ft of C6's from there for sale... used 1 season.
