Some idiot took 3 of my empire tombstones, a Big ghost (Empire) and my drainage stick ghost along with a melting candle. Well, I just took all my blow molds out of the yard. I don't know if I want to decorate for Christmas now:(

This has been a crazy year. Since I got kicked out of my neighborhood I have been looking for a new place to do my display. I was going to do it at my parents house and was just about to install a lot of power where we need it and then I got an interesting e-mail today.

Last year I used my display to help raise money for the Make-A-Wish foundation. They recently found out that I was not planning to do it at my house and they offered me their building to do the display.

I called the lady there to see how serious they were and they are REALLY serious and want to make it work. The location is perfect because they have a parking lot, and directly east of them there is another parking lot that can be used and that a great view.

See the location here

I am going there in a few hours to see how the location is going to work and what the power situation is. Then it dawned on me that Marty of Christmas Utah lives only 1 mile away for the Make-A-Wish Location!

I know there is not a lot of time left to design an entire display and get it set up but they have a lot of volunteers that can help.

I really wish it was further away from Marty's display though.

=== Edited to add.

Right now I am thinking I really want to jump on this and move in this direction. Will keep you guys posted.

So I was putting the lights in my new Merry Christmas sign, I finished the H and found that there was 1 hole without a light, but I was finished with the lights. So, I counted the holes again. 11 down X 4 rows = 44 and that is on 2 sides so that equals 88. Leaves 12 left and there are 3 rows of 4 in the middle, so that is 12. So then I look at the lights and count the lights. 99 lights on the string. 99! I mean, come on, how hard is it to make light strings with 100 lights and not 99? Now, I don't understand how they are made exactly, the strings, but it just gets annoying when you do the entire letter and find out that there are 99 on there instead of 100. Needless to say. H has 99 lights on it and not 100. I wasn't going to take them all out and put a new string in.

Don't fret. Newbies and vets get hit with this every year around this time.

-----------------------
If your LC's appear to be mirroring each other, then you most likely have forgotten to set the virtual channel addresses. To do that:

Note: These instructions are for Animation Director. Maestro users will have to look elsewhere for instructions on how to do this.

First (as always) Save several copies of your show to several different directories. Keep them safe.

Then, set the hardware addresses correctly on all your light controllers using the rotary switches. They should start at 00 and go up sequentially. (Yes, you can skip controller addresses if you like, but it does complicate things a little).

Now, go to the system button/hardware tab and hit the LOCATE button. When it's done, you should see all your controllers (and MB if you have one).

Then press the AUTO RANGE button. This sets the virtual channels in AD.

Then press the SET ALL button. This sets the channels on each physical LC.

Close the System window and test again (you may need to 'Refresh'). Everything should then work.

well I still have no lights! Let me explain all that I've done. First I've done all the musical sequencing for the show. Now about the animation part, how do you go about that? The instructions with the update 2.0.16 don't seem to be very helpful to me. How do you create the animation part of it? I'm not understanding the other parts either I guess. Help would be greatly appreciated.
