April 10th: Grapevine Texas (just northwest of Dallas). Barb Gotcher and Jeff Trykoski will be teaching us all about DMX. We've had DMX conversations before, but this is being approached a bit differently. With years in theatrical lighting for Barb, and years of applying DMX technology to everyday holiday displays for Jeff, the comibation of their knowledge will be entertaining and infomative. All to often we've discussed DMX and it appears daunting, not to mention expensive. While we can't do much about the cost of DMX units, we can do something about the DMX education. At our Space City Holidays workparty yesterday we were talking about the content with Barb (who drove in from Grapevine) and JD Schuck said "I just want to be able to use my fogger and laser." THAT'S what we hope to achieve... incorporating DMX technology into YOUR display.
We hope you plan to join us in Grapevine! 12pm to 5pm

PM me with your zip code if your interested and I'll get you a price with shipping. It appears the cords have been cut off just shy of the bulb fixtures, but the bulbs are still there. They should be able to be fixed. I can check if that is an issue.

Planning our display for this year and thinking about going with a snowman theme in a winter wonderland setting. Lots of snowmen, snow girls too to keep the snowmen happy :D along with lots of trees and snow flakes in the air. I'd appreciate your ideas for music to go along with this theme.

Frosty the snowman is a must.

Winter Wonderland would be good. I need to find a better version, the one I have is by Mitch Miller and its too slow, puts me to sleep.

I heard a song with the line, "I am a snowman...", over some store's background music, but I don't know the song. I liked it, but when I search that, I haven't found it. Any idea of what that song is?

TIA!!
