I was wondering if anyone thinks Dig that crazy Santa Claus by Brian Setzer is a bit ambitious for a first LOR display? It is rather upbeat and I dont want my display to look like a bunch of random flashes.
Also looking to do 1: Christmas Eve Sarajevo - TSO
2: Zat you Santa Claus - Louis Armstrong
3: a slow religious piece ( after all it is CHRISTmas)
Any suggestions or ideas for a nicely arranged traditional Christmas song? Thanks all in advance.

There is a shared sequence for TSO here:

So it may save you some time.

Erin...
To ambitious?? absolutely not .. I did "In The Mood (for Chistmas)" by the Brian Setzer Orchestra this year. I've always loved the song anyway .. so this was a great opportunity .. Like Robin said .. you will be surprised what you can do when you sit down and start to feel it .. then see it !!!

Erin,
Don't be afraid of those Brian Setzer tunes. I use several of them in my displays and they are some of my favorites. The highs on those horns look great with some well timed up-fades. I used one as my second ever LOR sequnce and actually thought is was easier than my slower first song. Just dive in - you'll be surprised how quick it goes.

P.S. - If you want to see an example of one here is a link to my version of Brian Setzer's Jingle Bells:
