I am very excited to introduce our new Light Up Ohio website. It’s been a long time coming, and thanks to Jeff Phillips, it’s now a reality. Please check it out at www.lightupohio.com. We will be adding information about Light Up Ohio to the new website during the next couple of weeks, and I’m confident you will be blown away by our curriculum and what we have planned for Light Up Ohio 2010.
In the morning, and early afternoon, we are very proud to have some very talented instructors. If you have attended our events in the past, you will probably know that we like to introduce things that are exclusive to Light Up Ohio, and this year is no different. Last year we were fortunate enough to have Walter and Jackie Monkhouse introduce “JUMP” exclusively at Light Up Ohio, for the very first time. This year we are going to introduce a new concept in doing mini’s called “Elf-ormation”. I will not go into detail on this yet, but this concept should clear up any questions that you have on almost any aspect of decorating. You will have to attend Light Up Ohio to experience it.
Anybody that knows me will tell you I love food. In fact, after I retired almost 2 years ago I started working part-time as a Bistro Chef. The food we have planned at Light Up Ohio will simply make your day more enjoyable, and you will not go away hungry. Also, we are having another great year of vendor participation. We appreciate the vendors that support Light Up Ohio, and we need to support them by keeping them first in our minds when we purchase merchandise. There will be lots of fun, lots of food, lots of door prizes, and lots of great people at Light Up Ohio, I hope you can make it.
We are always open for suggestions, so keep those pms and emails coming, or simply post here in the thread. It’s your event, and we want to make Light Up Ohio the very best it can be.

One of my favorite things about attending minis is the money I save by making arrangements with individuals to bring things I have swapped for or bought. It saves you a lot of money in shipping, and it helps people to pass on things they don't need. I want to invite you to go to our website lightupohio.com, go to Forums, then to Buy-Sell-Trade, to the Swap Meet area. It's a lot of fun and you will be surprised what people have to sell/swap. Check it out.

The planning committee has been working very hard to make Light Up Ohio 2010 the very best that it can be. Lots of people have already registered for the event, and we are expecting a record year.
Check out the Education section at www.lightupohio.com, and see what we have planned. Of course, this is just part of what will be going on at LUO2010. The day’s Agenda will be posted soon, and I guarantee you will have a great day.
At Light Up Ohio 2010 you will see a lot of the things you have been wanting to see in person. Some of the things you will see up close are LOR CCR Ribbon, LED Equalizer Tubes, P10 Curtain (if received by then), Disco Lawn Squares, PVC Snowflakes, MR-16 Landscape fixtures, LOR Controller kits, Mighty Mini Floods, RGB Porta Floods, Hybrid WireFrames, and an actual JUMP (set up with motor and any new developments).
We are planning break out sessions where you can see how others build some of the projects you have seen on Planet Christmas and other places. Also, there will be a table set up just to show how to do some of the little things that confuse people. Things like, how to properly put on Vampire Plus (as an end and as a middle of the run), how to splice ropelight properly, build a simple snubber, animate an inflatable, and several other helpful little projects anybody can do.
There will be a lot of things happening at Light Up Ohio 2010, on May 15th. Also, plenty of great food, prizes, one of a kind t-shirt, and the best thing of all, meeting others who share the same passion. Can’t wait to see my friends at Light Up Ohio and looking forward to making new ones.

Wow, only a few weeks left until LIGHT UP OHIO 2010!!
I just want to talk about one of the many exciting things coming to Light Up Ohio this year. As you may know, Walter and Jackie Monkhouse introduced one of the most innovative and exciting products of the decade at Light Up Ohio 2009. It is called the "JUMP", and as we were saying last year, it revolutionized the way we do Mega Trees, and has greatly expanded our decorating area. Simply look up, and you will see a whole new area to decorate, it's called "open space", and with the help of the "JUMP" you can suspend things up in that space to create the illusion of items floating in space. With the development of "JUMP" the possibilites are endless!
Of course, the Monkhouse's are not the type of people to stop there, they have spent the last several month's making the "JUMP" even better. Come to Light Up Ohio 2010 and get your first look at the latest developments of the NEW and IMPROVED "JUMP". Walter and Jackie can't make it to Light Up Ohio 2010, but they have been working very closely with Jeremy Brown. and you will be blown away by Jeremy's presentation. He will build a NEW and IMPROVED "JUMP" right before your very eyes, and show you how the Monkhouse's have developed the "JUMP" for Safety and Simplicity. Just a few highlights will be how to motorize your "JUMP" and how to safely raise it to a WHOPPING 30 feet, and of course, with no guy wires. You can raise 400lbs of lights with this thing, and not even break a sweat. Also, all attendees will receive "FREE of CHARGE" First Ever video of the "How To" of the New and Improved "JUMP".
We are calling this presentation the Christening of the "SSJUMP", which means the "Safe and Simple JUMP". You will see it first at LIGHT UP OHIO 2010, on May 15, go to www.lightupohio.com to Register.
