Just wondering. what is everyone using for there "broken Display" message?
you know the message you play if something is causing the display to be down for a night.

I use voiceovers from the Demented Elf. Kevin has a great package of them to use for many aspects of things as well as the "broken display" and weather problems.
He is more than accomodating on anything you want to do and will work with you on making voiceovers anyway you want them.
You certainly can't bet his price for quality, funny, and functional voiceovers.

yes ive heard his voiceovers and although they are great! my dad is in a band and we have a recording studio attached to our house. so we kinda make our own :) just wondering what to say for a broken display message. i was trying to think of something catchy involving a stray reindeer and an elf pulling plugs. but then i thought people might thing i was vandalized then >.<

Don't worry about what people might think - that's too PC. Don't over think it, Just have fun with it.
Opps... in this case PC = Politically Correct - ie a bad joke that our political leaders actually believe.

How about something like:
"Weellllllll you made it all the way over here, but I am sorry to tell you there will be no show tonight. The weather has gotten the best of us and Santa issued a directive this year to our lead lighting engineer Sparky asking us we hold off a bit until things clear up. He said something about the elves getting scared about running in the hamster wheel that powers the show when the weather is bad outside. We try to keep it safe here at <XYZ lights>, and now is NOT the time of year to make it on the big guy's naughty list. Check out xyz.com for normal showtimes and weather cancellations - we try to update that regularly and it may save you a drive. We want to wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and thanks for stopping by! We hope to see you soon once the weather clears up. Merry Christmas and Deck Them Halls Ya'll!"

I need to make one. I have my 7 year old son do my voiceovers. I guess I need something catchy.

Usually when the weather prohibits the show from going on, at least here in South Florida, it's obvious. So I just turn on my porch lights. They'll get the hint and come back. LOL!
And if my PC is'nt working, I probably cant play my voiceover.
Merry Christmas

I make some of my own voiceovers...I do alot for business voicemail messages....but for my display I have a local radio station that volunteers their time to make voiceovers...for broken display I usually make it right then and there...
