Well it worked.

Back about a month ago, during a lot of revamping that was going on I decided to take my last name totally out of signitures and profile. I didn't like everyone being able to type in my first and last name ina search and the first 10 pages led straight to PC. I added a different email address, plus this freed up my main email.

So I did a search today and only two links total came up that led back to PC and they are way down the list about 200. So anyone that may be concerned about security this might be the way to go for you.

I somewhat understand everyone's concern but there is no way for you to clean the web of all your information. Using your domain name and the address to your house on your website in less than 5 minutes using free tools I was able to find out your name and your phone number. (7964) Just like the movie "Enemy of the State" said you are on the net even if you don't want to be!

On the flip side, having your name out there, if you aren't trying to hide form an "ex" isn't necessarily a bad thing. I have had old friends catch up with me after years of no contact.

Correct, you cant totally hide your information. Especially if you have a privately owned website. Anyone can do a who-is search on the site to find out information about that person. But you can limit what a search engine will come up with. That is all I am trying to do. Nothing at all against PC just my personal preference.
