Has anybody ever been to Santasland (http://www.santaslandnc.com/) ...? It's in Cherokee, NC...not far from where plus was held....I've always been curious about it...
I passed by it once while trying to take a shortcut between TN/SC...turned out to be an adventure....but the park was not in season...so I couldn't investigate...

Jen,
I've been three times. the last time about 4 years ago. It is a low key theme park. You can meet Santa everyday! They have a few rides: roller coaster (Mild), train, kiddie rides, peddle boats, etc. It is for younger kids. My three kids are 8-12. They are starting to get too old for it. I liked it because I didn't have to worry about losing the kids and they could ride without having to wait long. I'm from Central Florida, looooooong waits at Disney and other parks.
Different times of the year they have themes: like a fall festival. The price was very affordable back then.

I've been curious about that one myself for a few years. I'm usually in the area at least once a year, sometimes more, and have never been. I know the coaster is probably more of a kiddie type coaster, but one day I want to add it to my coaster count, anyway.

I plan on checking out the next time I have to go to TN...probaly this summer...
I'm most interested in just seeing how it's decorated and stuff...I'm not a big ride fan...It sounds like a good stop off...
