I just got back from the Chicago CC MINI and I wanted to put a personal thank you to Carrie and Dave for their wonderful hospitality and for allowing so many people to come to their home. Dave, your are truly an amazing guy putting up with all of us and our crazy addictions, A PERFECT HOST! Carrie, you went out of your way with a busy schedule to help me celebrate my birthday with now my 2nd family (CC Community). I had a great experience and a wonderful birthday at the MINI. Thank you both again for putting on a top notch event.

Brandon,

I was looking forward to meeting you as I wanted to learn from you on how you find so many wonderful molds! We will meet up soon and it will be a nice/fun conversation on the blowmold hunts.

And yes it was a great time.

Chuck

I would also like to say "Thank You!" to Carrie and Dave!
Not only for being such gracious hosts that made every single one of us feel welcome, but allowing us to interrupt your lives and take over your home. (And that was NO small feet with the number of guests you had!)
It was amazing how much effort was put into making certain everyone had an enjoyable time (and they did!)

I am also thankful for all of the other people who organized, contributed, donated, shared, taught, cooked, and pitched in to help make such an awesome event for all of us that were fortunate enough to attend.

:)

Now that we have somewhat "recovered" and gotten things torn down, cleaned up and organized, I want to take this opportunity to publicly THANK EVERYONE who attended, contributed, taught, cleaned, ran errands, shared information..the list goes on and on. This was YOUR event and I can't thank everyone enough who helped us to hold the Chicagoland Mini Plus/Constantly Christmas Conference, it was a great time.

It was so wonderful to reconnect with so many old friends and to meet and make some new ones.

Yes, Gregg, Mickie is correct..you should compete! Thank you for everything!

Mr. PPF, you are the Master of Ceremonies! Thank you, John, great job! Pat the cookies were great, I still like No. 1, thanks for all your help!

Bill H., the "stuff" that was in the Southern Comfort bottle is to die for! It needs to be on the market! Thank you for everything.

Steve O., I'll see ya this afternoon sometime (you're the MAN when it comes to ice, shopping, and recycling..by the way..that mountain is gone!)

Chuck F., take care of that blow mold..its priceless.

Terry P. and Jim C. did you guys ever get any sleep?

Val P. and Gary C., the cutouts are awesome, the frames are great, thanks for everything and I'll see you in Wisconsin soon!

Tom B., awesome presentation..not to worry, I received your message, the screen is here in a safe place. Thanks for everything!

Tony F., can I get you a bucket of water to go with that string of lights? LOL Thank you, Tony!

Daren and Lisa, great to meet you, we'll be talking soon, and thank you both for your help!

Danny M. and Tony M., you guys are awesome, thanks for everything!

Michael F., what's a gobo..again? LOL

Bill W., you know, thanks!

Lee J., KK LaFournaise was soooo right and you guys absolutely rock! Thanks for bringing Galaxia to our event, I'm still astounded.

Andrew, Chris, and Marty..you already know how much I appreciate each of you, hugs (it seems strange to be thanking Drew while he is sitting in my family room as I type this outside on the laptop!)

Dave, my long suffering spouse..honey, thanks for giving up your weekend..

As everyone has said, thanks for having us for another great weekend. I reconnected with friends and made some new ones. I think I brought home as many blow molds as I went with. Looking forward to the next gathering at your house. See you all soon!

Wow, Pat and I had a great time. Being with the mini crowd and in Chicago. It was a great trip down and fantastic weather to boot.

I think that Carrie has developed a new nick-name--- 4 AM. You are truly a 4 AM person. Thanks to you and Dave for opening up your home and all the preparation and wonderful food. The scones were delicious.

As to the cookie challenge. I was not able to recover any cookies from bin #1. We still had cookies in bins 2 and 3. I think that everyone won, but more people preferred #1. #1 was Giardelli dark chocolate, no salt, no nuts, 1/3 cake flour, 2/3 bread flour, 36 hours in the fridge (the butter was even no salt).

I really like el light and actually understand DMX now... go figure?

Pat just chimed in, "thanks for wonderful time and she hopes that you can get some sleep. She wants to come early next time to help out, I'll come too.

John,

My choice was #3. What was in that one? I want to see how close I was to identifying the ingredients.

Thanks. Bill.

John, it was actually 5:15 when Terry, Jim and Michael left..it was one of those funny moments "Hey guys, do you realize the sun has come up?" Got a few hours of sleep and was attacking the "mess" by 9:30. Thankfully, Chris was already in the yard taking down the LOR display and then Marty, Dan and Tony arrived to help. The tent is down and packed up ready for pick up, lights are stowed, control boxes are stowed and everything outside is back to normal. Bill, Amy, and Nicholas came by, loaded up, Steve came and loaded up, and then Ted and Summer came by in the afternoon to load up. We got the mountain of garbage removed and now all that's left are some tire tracks on the lawn (which I watered today), a knocked down "child crossing sign" (funny story about that) and the table and chair rentals. You wouldn't know that 55 Christmas nuts had ever been here..:) Tomorrow, I attack the inside!

It has been said several times...but THANK YOU to Carrie, Dave and Dean. You allowed us to come in and take over.

Dave - you need a medal of some sort for putting up with all of us and all of our stuff. Now you can turn the music up!

Carrie, you were a fantastic hostess. You were mindful of the needs of all your guests and it showed!

Dean - thank you for putting up with all of your Mom's crazy Christmas Friends! Hope that guitar works out for you.

This was my first mini and I had a great time - (minus the migraine that sent me back to the room early).

Thank you to all of the other folks that attended. For all of the shared information and good times.

Lisa
