View Full Version : Perhaps my brain's intensity is set to 50%!

Sorry to be slow to understand, but I have been reading the threads about intensity levels, and I think thatif my intensity level is set to 50% I'll draw 50% current on that channel? The fades are set to fade from 100% to 0. Does the intensity level override the fade numbers, or do I need to set each of the channels to ramp to 50%. 2) It seems that all my levels are already set to 50% by default in the software. Do the tool options settings default to all channels? It seems that by the threads, people are having to set each channel, so I'm wondering if I'm just not getting it!

Thanks

OCJ.

Under the Tolls option, once you change the fade or intensity level it applies to all FUTURE use of the tool. If you are fading up to 50% the holding you would need to change both values (fade up and intensity) to 50%. Now if you were goin to fade back down you would also chage the fade down value. These will stay at these values until change them again-for this sequence(not a new).

Make sense?

Well.....I only thought I had it! If your intensity is set to 50% in the channel configuration, When you turn a channel on, that means it is automatically set to 50% by default, right? If that is so, how can you ramp from 100% to 0? If I set a channel to come on with a solid color and then fade it off in the very next time segment, wouldn't that fade from 50% to 0? If you see where I'm going with my question?

Thanks

Jerry, intensity and fade and NOT linked. I f you use the default setting and fade up for 1 event, fade for one and fade down here is what it will look like:

1. Lights will fade from zero to 100%-full on

2. Lights will go to 50%

3. Lights will jump to 100% then fade to zero

Nowif the event is only1/10 second this will hardly be noticeable.

Someone will surely let me know if I'm wrong but here is what I think can be done.

EX.
I have 3 one second segments.
I fade up thru seg 1and 2
I fade down thru seg 2 and 3
I set intensity at 50% on seg 2

result
fade up to 50% stay at 50% fade from 50 - 0
